Anticipation is on the Rise for the Home Theater Release of Batman: the Dark Knight Rises

Home theater and comic book fans rejoice! Batman: The Dark Knight Rises is set to appear on DVD/Blu-Ray format Tuesday, December 4, 2012. The third and final movie in Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy will be available in a variety of formats including a Blu-Ray/DVD Combo Pack, DVD only single pack and a collector’s edition that includes a Batman Cowl. This collection is sure to be on the Christmas List of many home theater enthusiasts and a welcome addition to any home video library.

The Caped Crusader has been the subject of many movies over the years, and best-to-worst lists are as numerous as Batman fans. These movies do not just appeal to comic book fans, as the innovative sound design and cinematography also makes them a favorite with home theater owners. Tim Burton’s original Batman (1989) took home the Oscar for Best Art Direction, and Batman: The Dark Knight (2008) won Oscars for Sound Editing and Best Supporting Actor (for Heath Ledger’s brilliant portrayal of the Joker).
